AED - Associated Equipment Distributors
AED is a membership association of 1,200 independent distributors, manufacturers, and other organizations involved in the distribution of construction equipment and related products and services in North America and throughout the world.
AED's 750 distributor member companies account for over $15 billion of annual sales of construction equipment and related supplies and services in the U.S. and Canada. AED's average distributor member achieves over $20 million per year of revenues, and employs 90 people.
AEM - Association of Equipment Manufacturers
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) was formed from the consolidation of the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association and Equipment Manufacturers Institute on January 1, 2002. AEM is the international trade and business development resource for companies that manufacture equipment, products and services used worldwide in the construction, agricultural, industrial, mining, forestry, materials-handling and utility fields.
AEM member companies manufacture a wide variety of equipment, from large earthmovers and agricultural equipment to small hand-held, portable and walk-behind machinery - designed to handle a myriad of specialized tasks.
AEM member companies also manufacture a variety of components used by other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) - everything from transmissions and hydraulic pumps to electronic controls, gauges and lubricants.
NAM - National Association of Manufacturers
The NAM's mission is to enhance the competitiveness of manufacturers and improve American living standards by shaping a legislative and regulatory environment conducive to U.S. economic growth, and to increase understanding among policymakers, the media and the general public about the importance of manufacturing to America's economic strength.
The National Association of Manufacturers - 18 million people who make things in America - is the nation's largest industrial trade association. The NAM represents 14,000 members (including 10,000 small and mid-sized companies) and 350 member associations serving manufacturers and employees in every industrial sector and all 50 states. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the NAM has 10 additional offices across the country.
STAFDA - Specialty Tools and Fasteners Distributors Association
The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) is an international trade association composed of distributors and manufacturers, and rep agents of light construction, industrial and related products. STAFDA members also include publishers of industry press serving the construction and industrial trades.
ARA - American Rental Association
The Mission of the ARA will be to carry out its Core Purpose and enhance its role as industry leader, premier marketplace, preeminent voice, and primary resource with particular emphasis and focus on: the common needs and interests as defined by members - industry information, advocacy issues, workforce/business development, and consumer awareness; the unique needs and interests of segments of our members who rely on ARA as their primary source of networking, business information, and marketplace opportunities; increasing the financial strength and leadership position of ARA
